HTA in healthcare: What are its impacts on innovation and financing of care?

Health Technology Assessment (HTA) plays a key role in deciding on the reimbursement of health technologies and medicines. What influence does it have on the entry of innovations into the system? What factors determine whether new technologies will be available to patients? CzechMed discussed with SUKL the further direction of the development of the medical devices section. The idea arose to make foreign know-how available to SUKL in terms of the concept of whether and how HTA can play a role in the reimbursement executive. The United Kingdom and their NICE probably have the longest experience in this. We approached former long-term NICE employees to share their experiences
